Most of the aerial photo images used in the site are the result of twenty years aerial reconnaissance of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly by Steve Hartgroves of Historic Environment Cornwall Council, and the NMP team would like to acknowledge his contribution to aerial archaeology in Cornwall.

Many of the photos used to illustrate this website are housed in the National Monuments Record Centre in Swindon and are reproduced here with kind permission of English Heritage. English Heritage has also permitted the use of other graphic material reproduced here.

Whilst the content of this website was produced by the NMP team, it draws on the wide range of research undertaken by the Historic Environment Service as a whole over a period of more than 30 years.

Much of the information relating to the archaeology of the Second World War is based on the extensive research published by Colin Dobinson of the Council for British Archaeology.
