The Countryside Agency The Countryside Agency: The statutory body working for people and places in rural England. The Agencies aims are the conservation and enhancement of the countryside, promotion of social equity and economic opportunity for the people who live there and to help everyone wherever they live, to enjoy this national asset. Of particular relevance is the Market and Coastal Towns Scheme  and the Local Heritage Initiative. 
CABE CABE: Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment – improving people's lives through better buildings, spaces and places. Body established to promote high standards in the design of buildings and the spaces between them.
